Abraham Ulep
SENIOR Engineer
Professional Overview
Abraham Ulep is a structural engineer with a strong passion for bridge and civil infrastructure design. With more than five years of experience at a major multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Melbourne before joining CSS, Abraham has worked on a range of complex transport and public infrastructure projects, most notably the multi-billion-dollar Level Crossing Removal Program in Victoria. His experience supporting major alliance teams and managing his own design packages has given him a deep understanding of how design decisions translate into lasting public assets. For Abraham, the real reward lies in creating structures that improve daily life for the people who use them - projects that are safe, efficient, and built to stand the test of time.
Technically, Abraham brings strength in the detailed design and coordination of complex structural systems, underpinned by a meticulous, hands-on working style. He thrives when immersed in the design process, preferring to work methodically and independently while maintaining close collaboration with his team. Abraham finds great satisfaction in seeing his digital models and calculations realised in construction, whether through site visits or project imagery, each one a reminder of the tangible, enduring impact of good engineering.
Currently based in Brisbane with the CSS team, Abraham continues to expand his technical knowledge and is pursuing Chartered Engineer status through Engineers Australia. He has a growing interest in how artificial intelligence and parametric tools can enhance efficiency and accuracy in structural design, particularly as the industry evolves toward digital integration. Outside work, Abraham has developed a passion for mechanical keyboards, drawn to the tactile and auditory experience they bring. Steady, curious and quality-driven, Abraham exemplifies CSS’s commitment to precision engineering and enduring design.
